Eh, I'm not sure about that. The difference between shipped and vgc estimates isn't massively different to the same time last year. But I agree that these numbers don't make me doubt my own high expectations.

June 30th 2018 - 1.62m more shipped than sold
June 30th 2019 - 1.32m more shipped than sold

The main reason I think is higher number of units on shelves at the end of December then the previous year, so that will cause lower shipments in the following quarters.

December 31st 2017 - 1.72m more shipped than sold
December 31st 2018 - 2.79m more shipped than sold

Though the upcoming lite will have an affect to a degree. I still think the Switch can easily beat the 18m forecast, and even go to 20m+

A 20% reduction in stock from a year ago when sales are 20% higher than the previous year indicates trying to clear stock.
