Like I said, MSJ's original pitch was supposed to be even darker and less campy than the DC IIRC (the playground scene and rooftop highjinks were clearly mandates from the studio to win over the Spider-Man crowd). |
Kingdom of Heaven, I did the opposite and watch the DC first and I was surprised by the amount of harsh criticism this movie received, than I watched the theatrical release and I understand why. Not every movie needs exposition to be understood properly, but the theatrical version was missing some interesting pieces that gave the movie a more natural flow.
Movies like this needs to run their length time.
