I've read all this thread and you are just being stubborn. People have given you a dozen different things you can do to work around the rain, and all you come back to is "I want to sit my controller down and wait it out" and then bitch that its a horrible game mechanic and made you quit the game. You won't be missed. There was no discussion to be had with you. Besides, you can climb in the rain. Link climbs three times, then jump, the rain will slide you down some but you will be up higher than when you started. Keep doing that if you are so persistent on climbing the damn wall in front of you. May have to eat a bit of food to make the full height, but climbing is 100% possible in the rain. Or go make a camp fire and sleep to make it go away. Don't say their is no cover. Make some cover. The game lets you do anything. And doing anything will be way quicker than setting the controller down and twiddling your thumbs checking facebook on your phone. |
He has taken the same method of combating the challenges in game as with the challenges others raised here. We were unfair, used badly designed arguments and for the time being he has quit, perhaps he will return when the sun comes out and we stop raining on his parade about how terrible the game is.
Look I never wanted to come down harsh in my posts or go on an attack regarding how I love the game, I absolutely do love the game but as I've said before, it's very possible for someone to go into it and not get the same experience that I found in it, if you would enjoy more tutorials and a little more story direction then Botw isn't for you, it would be more likely that someone would enjoy an assassins creed type game which gives you far more ushering in the direction the game wants you to travel.
As for people being mean regarding the "solution" to just not play the game until the rain stopped... I don't mean to be mean by saying that you're doing something in one of the most backward ways, but the game offers so many other options than sit back and smell the daisies for 10 minutes, but if you rather play breath of the wild enjoying some of the rainy scenery then that's awesome too, the game is so open to be explored and enjoyed in many different ways and styles, my main reason to come down on the method as being daft... is because Nightly doesn't enjoy the way he is tackling the tasks and seems to want to think that he is doing it the only way possible as such it's not the fact that he is doing it wrong, but that there is no alternative to his choice as such the game is flawed.
As for campfires go out in rain.... aye they do, but there is cover oppertunities literally everywhere in the world
Anyways he chipped off, the game is out for 2 years, I guess if someone feels one way or the other about it now that opinion is unlikely to change after a few forum posts on here.
