Getting back to the actual Switch model, it wouldn't surprise me if Nintendo eventually "quietly" allows devs to take advantage of the extra performance, as there almost certainly is a boost due to the power savings.

It means it may well be possible for developers to run docked mode performance portably now on this model. They could offer a "performance mode" for example that would really help out games like Xenoblade when played portably.

For docked mode, this version of the Switch should be be able to hit full 500 GFLOPS at least I think, the current Switch is gimped at 379 GFLOPS or so because the 20nm Tegra gets too hot, but this (likely) Mariko processor is probably 16nm, so it can run that at full tilt no problem. There are reports that data mine leaks show the max clock of the Mariko at 20% higher than the old Tegra X1 to boot so who knows maybe it can even go higher than 500 GFLOPS docked.
