It actually makes no sense for the Lite to have docking features. Not sure why people are acting surprised that it doesn't.

Say the Lite did have the ability to dock, you'd still have to buy a dock ($60-80 bucks) and either joy cons or a pro controller ($70-80). You're better off just buying the flagship system.

Nintendo is creating distinct markets for each device, the Lite is for the Pokemon/AC crowd that will play those games and probably put it in the garage somewhere afterwards. The flagship is for more serious gamers and for casuals that want to play Smash, MK, Mario Party etc; locally with their friends.
