Since companies started R&D on Switch Mini protective cases, seemed it would be announced sooner rather than later.

One of the big things for me here is that it has a proper D-pad. Don't want to play games like Bloodstained with an analog. But while I expected it to ship without a dock, I wasn't sure if they'd remove the ability to link up with a dock. And now that they did I want to know why. How much could they save by removing that feature?

$200 is a very good price though.
The Switch "Pro" was reportedly delayed, and I'm interested in seeing what that one is going to be like as well.

The Switch Lite can connect to normal Joy-Cons.

This is what it says about Game Compatibility:

"Nintendo Switch Lite can play the games in the Nintendo Switch library that support handheld mode.

For games that do not support handheld mode, players can wirelessly connect compatible controllers (sold separately) to Nintendo Switch Lite. If using separate Joy-Con controllers, users will need to have a device to recharge them, such as the Joy-Con Charging Grip.

The messaging on their site is confusing, because I read it as not being compatible with joy con controllers.

Because it still appears to be under the category "Compatible".
They should make it clear that it is compatible with them, and then make a separate category for what's included or not.

Yeah the information there is very misleading. Image says not compatible with Joy-Con controllers. Text says it is compatible.
