Thanks for the summary.

I've also looked at your initial post:

It depends. Are we talking about just titles available on the system at launch, or killer apps intended to sell the platform?

Best title available at launch was Breath of the Wild, hands down.

But if we're talking about killer apps that forced you to purchase the system, then both of the Zelda games on your poll would get knocked off. If we're talking about it from that angle, I'd say it's a three way tie:

Super Mario World for perfecting the sidescrolling formula, Halo for the introduction of recovering health in FPS games, and Mario 64 for show the world how a platformer should play when there's a Z-axis.

Both Twilight Princess and Breath of the Wild were made cross-gen for the specific purpose of selling the new console, so it is 100% certain that they were intended to perform that job. Midway through your post you changed the qualifier for a killer app to exclude the Zelda games.

I don't know why you did that. I am also not sure why you cling to such a wacky definition because multiplatform games can be killer apps too. For example, Grand Theft Auto VI can be expected to be a killer app (not a launch title though) and the choice of which console to buy for the game will be much more challenging than in the TP and BotW situations.

It's called fudging the vernacular, the second phrase is what I intended to convey. And I assume you're getting your words mixed up as well, now? Because I've said multiple times that BotW is a killer app. I just don't believe it is specifically a Switch killer app and instead believe it to be a Nintendo killer app.
