I preferred XII myself, but X was still a good game. The world was a long hallway but there was still plenty to do and the scenery was pretty.

The battle system is actually quite good. It's the first strictly turn-based battle system in the series since it was on the NES and was well done. It required its own unique strategy, and it lets you see which turns are coming up so you can prepare accordingly. The ability to switch out party members in-battle is a nice touch, and the game often forces you to make use of your full spectrum of party members, even in regular random battles.

Blitzball... ehhh. It has its moments.
