And there are a lot more reasons.
I personally prefer the 16:9 aspect of games, but there are many people who prefer ultrawide aspects (21:9 or 32:9) or even triple-monitor setups for surround gaming. The only console game which supports proper 21:9 (as far as I know) is the Ratchet & Clank Remake. The Order still has 16:9 output with black bars.
For the last decade I loved to play a lot of PC games in stereoscopic 3D. Unfortunately that will end when I have to update my Nvidia drivers for a new game which needs the newest drivers.
