Battletoads looks like a cheap basic cable cartoon.

Hold on there, Fable Legends dint look all bad. I thought it was a nice multiplayer addition, but it needed a Single player story with the character development fable is known for. If the Forza people are really doing fable 4, then I say make a traditional fable and then attach fable legends to it as the multiplayer component. 

I actually spent time with the beta. On paper I liked what Fable Legends was, it made me think of Phantasy Star Online. In practice though, it just wasn't a fun game. It was slow, I often felt confused about what was happening and there wasn't much personality in the story telling that was there.

It didn't need to be a traditional Fable game per se, it could have blurred the lines between single player and multiplayer game as does Phantasy Star Online before it or Destiny. Hence, you can have a story driven experience with missions that are enjoyable alone or with others. I bet it could be salvaged into an enjoyable product, but the beta was just a boring game.

Fable Legends wouldn't work as a multiplayer component, its not just some PvP or co-op mode. Again, I see it as some sort of Phantasy Online or Destiny style of game. I think that's what they were going for but it just sucked.
