IF they continue to make OG Xbox and 360 games BC, I imagine it would continue on X1 as well.

Here's my logic, new OG Xbox games actually came to 360 as they were added to X1 because its basically the same tech/emulator, store, etc. Hence, the new consoles will likely use the same emulator as previous consoles. Therefore adding new OG Xbox and 360 games shouldn't be limited to the new hardware.

I have a few questions that probably won't be answered until next year.
1) Will all OG Xbox and 360 BC content be given 8K support on the new Xbox?
2) Why does X1 games need the BC team, is it emulation or native support (maybe both)?
3) If the X1 games needs a BC team, does that mean we can expect resolution upgrades for all X1 games (maybe all X1 games now 4k to 8K)? That would be huge.

My guess is that X1 emulation will be native.
Otherwise they would either need to emulate an X1 which then emulates 360 and Original Xbox games, which would need huge amounts of processing power
OR they would need to develop a new 360 and OG Xbox Emulator for Scarlett, which might require changes to the game files again. In that case it would take as long as this gen to add games.

I would assume native as well for X1 games, but maybe they're putting in extra work to boost the presentation of X1 content. Some sort of resolution boosting seems like the logical thing to do, just not sure how feasible that is.

I also think the OG X1 and 360 emulators need to be ported, therefore time needs to be committed to make the 600+ OG Xbox/360 games work on the new hardware. Ideally all of which will be upgraded for 4k or 8K support.

Hence, no additional games being added might be okay if they have big plans for the new hardware's BC.
