Your opinon is similar to the the majorities and mine. I wouldn't entirely not trust 343 as they were given the IP when it was finished. It was an impossible mission to live up to the classics and the trilogy they decided to make wasnt exactly a great starter however i trust the finale to be an epic conclusion in the series.
Halo has a Star Wars history of success much like Episode 7, 8 not living up to expectations but we expect big things from 9 and Infinite. Fingers crossed it turns out to be an experience to remember.
