The only support I think Sony gave was the E3 unveiling, probably helped make the video and marketing material in the beginning, and are probably helping with the PS4 port with Xdev or studio japan.
I want Yu Suzuki to see this game through, so I don't care if they announce it on every platform on the planet. Yu Suzuki is one of gaming's under appreciated heroes and legends. After Sega died as console maker, Suzuki San pretty much faded into the background.
I really hope this inspires him to continue making games long past Shenmue.
