A pokemon game developed by Atlus would not release on the Switch, and it would be a Pokemon Musou game made by Omega Studio instead.

Level 5 would be interesting. But I wouldn’t want their business team..Asking the developers to create sequel and spinoffs in such close proximity of each other created saturation. We’re kinda seeing that in Yokai Watch 4’s COMG numbers as they’re not even near the numbers of the previous games in Japan. Granted, Pokemon has had numerous spinoffs as well, but at least their mainline games don’t affect one another and create such saturation that a significant amount of their audience start losing interest. Pokemon has been able to do what Yokai Watch appears to be struggling with: adapting and succeeding once the phenomenon ends.
