FFXV have a super big open world but barren and empty mean the game rendered a lot less than it actually was, while other open world games like Witcher 3, Horizon and RDR2 rendered a lot more than FFXV, hell, even XCX open world is anything but empty unlike FFXV world.
If Witcher 3 was a linear 8th gen game, then i could see your point, but it wasn't. Unless it was heavily downgraded like there's no tomorrow, no way Switch could handle it
