No one said it's impossible. What make people doubt is, will it be playable as fun as other version with the same graphic and level of detail. Doom and Wolfenstein especially Hellblade are corridor linear games .  The Witcher is like a next gen of Zelda Breath of The Wild in terms of graphic and design. If it's come to Switch the games will not be called The Witcher 3 , it might be called " The Witcher: Breath of the Wild (cell ceded edition) " with super reduction of graphic fidelity.

Actually, many people (not only here, I mean in general) say it's impossible. In this thread alone we can count like 5 or 6 people.

My point is that people keep saying that some things can't be done on Switch. Only for them to be proven wrong. And after being proven wrong, they put another wall that they claim cannot be climbed by the Switch. And then they are proven wrong again. And they put another wall. And so on. First DOOM and Wolfenstein, then Hellblade, then Mortal Kombat 11... now it's The Witcher 3.

I don't know much about the technical side of videogames. And thus, I can't say if the Switch can or cannot run The Witcher 3 with a reasonable downgrade. But looking at the precedents, I'm pretty confident that it can be done.

Also, you say that all of the games I mention are linear... but I also remind you that before they were announced NO ONE expected them to be ported to the Switch. Not only for being bloody games, but for being 8th gen graphically intensive games. Now the ceiling is at open world games. We'll see if you're right or not.

Are you sure about this? When doom was announced many expected it to target 60fps on switch. I was one of those people as well. It's just after seeing the results of doom, and Wolfenstein, that some  people think Witcher 3 is impossible on switch.
