I said I'd take your word for it. Also, you're taking this a lot more seriously than I am, cus my initial reply to you was pretty tongue in cheek.

Since you are taking it so seriously though lol, I'd say that shot still actually has them aimed pretty much straight. The camera work makes it look as if they're facing ever so slightly downwards, but once the camera angle shifts (and the scorpions themselves clearly aren't being operated), you can see they're really not pointed at the ground even remotely.
