I didn't intend for my comment to be read like that. I think it's pretty undeniable that when it comes to portable platforms sales are higher than one would expect in a different country. That is not the only factor in Switch sales in Japan of course. The whole point of the Switch is that it's suppose to cover both bases and does so with games that people want.
I wasn't even trying to have an apposing opinion. Just an off the cuff reminder that Japan indeed loves portable gaming.
