I'm still not seeing this dramatic progress. Even the best looking early PS3 games were left looking incredibly dated by the time the system was this old, yet with PS4 its best looking early games like Killzone and 1886 are still not that far behind games coming out in Year 5/6.
PS4 was built with mature technology and was very easy to develop for and straightforward to fully harness, hence it didn't take developers years to come to grips with it like the PS3 with its exotic Cell processor.
The PS3's lifespan took it from this:

PS4 is never going to have a leap that big, it simply can't because its hardware was easy to exploit from day 1.
