No, they royally fucked that up in Genisys, essentially wiping out the only 2 GOOD Terminator movies from the timeline (T1 and T2). Fuck that noise.

She's 62 now. Hardened grannie, no thanks. The problem with setting it in the future is that the terminators aren't all that scary with futuristic weapons at the hero's disposal. How do you defeat a Terminator in the 50's going after Sarah's parents.

I haven't seen Genisys.
