I've heard this combo used by many people but it just seems inefficient to me. If going for a Paladin build this seems like a misuse of the White Mage's vast array of spells. It also doesn't take proper advantage of Armor utility. Idk. The Knight learns a few essential WM spells on its own(Esper/Quickening unlocks of which I was never too worried about as most of my other job pairings require no Espers to unleash potential). 

I mean as a White Mage mainly who can wear heavy protective armor this kinda works, but I would chose not taking any damage (WM/Archer) out of taking less damage any day.
