I am probably in a Vietnamese travel program.

I was on a trip through Singapore, Malaysia and Borneo about five years ago with three friends. One of our stops was in the town of Malacca, which has an old colonial neighbourhood with Portuguese and Dutch buildings. We were just walking around looking at things when all of a sudden a film crew came up to us asking where we’re from. I assume they figured we looked European so they tried their luck. We answered that we are Dutch, which they figured was perfect because of the history of the area and asked if we’d like to answer some questions.

My friends collectively pointed at me telling them that I knew about all kinds of history and they should ask me. So then they interviewed me, while filming. They asked a couple of simple questions like why we were there, what we thought about the place, if we knew anything about it and whether we get to learn the history about it in school or somewhere, which I proceeded to answer as best I could.

I say ‘probably’ though because some time after we tried but sadly couldn’t find the final episode, so we’ve never seen the result, and maybe they even cut me lol.
