I was hoping Jim Carrey would redeem this for me...but I'm not really feeling it from him. Feels less like Eggman and more like Jim Carrey dressed up as Eggman. Not that I have a real attachment to the character, but I don't think there was a single point of the trailer where I saw him as anything but Jim Carrey with a moustache.
I admit I know fuck-all about Sonic lore, but is he an alien? I assumed they were just talking animals that co-exist with humans inexplicably. Though I didn't see any of the other talking animals so maybe this is a Sonic only zone.
They should have made a dark and gritty movie about Shadow instead to appeal to the Game of Thrones crowd.
