EA really only exists for three things right now: High power AAAs, sports games, and mobile games. None of those really fits Nintendo's model. Which is why we see very little on both Switch and 3DS. It's honestly not something I think people should be all that worried about. For best support, I think Square Enix might still be the highest of non-indie publishers. They have 27 games for the system. Capcom is just under 20. Also, I'm adding the fully physical version of Final Fantasy X/X-2. |
There should have been a Madden NFL game on Switch by now. I used to buy Madden's near annually, but I haven't bought any since Madden 13 on Wii U. The Madden's on N64, Gamecube, and Wii may not have been blockbusters, but they were pretty close to million sellers each. I think EA's leaving a decent chunk of money on the table from a franchise that is on the decline in sales as it is. Madden on Switch would be a day 1 purchase for me. Instead, I still play Madden 13 on Wii U with my buddy on Friday nights for the 6th year straight.
