Dude the PS3 lost money all throughout it's life while Wii U was even and even made a little money for ninty by the time it ended. And I'm not saying it's a trend, but there is precedent. Considering only 4 gens, messing 1 gen after another successful gen is still a very big deal. Whether it's a trend or an exception will be decided by PS4 since that will be the 2nd time that Sony either produces 2 successful consoles in a row or a failure after a success. Sales aren't the only thing and PS3 was most definitely a failure

I see, so Sony messing that sold more than all but one console of Nintendo is more of a reason for PS5 to not outsell XB4 and NS than let's say Nintendo only crossing 100M with a console 1 single time.
