I don't think the Fortnite funds are the only money they have, but you're kidding yourself if you don't think that's where the majority of this comes from. Also, please don't talk to me about greed. You're supporting one rich corp. over another. They all follow a very similar pattern, obviously. The difference? Steam has not outright paid for exclusivity of games (particularly when said games are about to launch).

Epic is simply throwing a bag of money around, while their store is as barbones as it gets. That is not 'competition'. Never mind the contradictory statements from Tim Sweeney.

Greed is a thing but just because a company is worth billions does not mean there the greediest corp in the world. Just compare the investments these mega corps do. MS spent 30billion on a Cloud Network, they brought 6 gaming studios last year with more to come, they actually invest in innovating things like IllumiRoom, AR, Kinect, controllers etc. What has Valve done since the last 10 years? Steam Boxes? Okay that was an effort.. anything else? Thats my issue. They are taking but not giving back. Consumers dont want to see companies sit on a pile or cash, they want to see them make more, spend more method.

Instead of Valve fighting for games,  they are now making us wait for them or go somewhere else. I have options so i am okay, however what about those who have dedicated big on Steam? Well looks like another EGS account being made because of a timed deal. Atleast Steam is bringing in 30 unfinished green lit games to there library which they will be making 30% on. While EGS has games like BL3, The Outer Worlds and Metro Exodus that no one cares about.

If Epic are throwing a bag of money around, so why isnt Valve? Dont they care to keep there customers?
