I know Japan is a much larger market than Spain but seeing the Xbox One only put up 400 units in sales sort of puts things in perspective.

I do wonder why does the XBOne (and all XBoxes in general) have had such a steep road when trying to carve out a piece of the market in non-english speaking countries. It does well in UK, US and other smaller markets, but outside of those it's a landslide. Granted, the PS brand has been the de facto system in Europe ever since the PS1, (with "la Play" becoming alongside "la Nintendo" as the synonymous of gaming for many) but such a difference is staggering. Even during the PS3-360 days, the PS3 was the much more popular system, the Wii nonwithstanding.

The XB360 was a great console and it did great here in Europe selling 26 million. But with XB1, Microsoft destroyed their momentum by having an awful reveal, by launching late in many European countries, and by showing interest in using a forced Kinect to collect data on citizens which many Europeans didn't like especially after it was known that the US and NSA were spying on European citizens, politicians, and companies.

I'm actually surprised that XB1 in Europe will still manage to sell half of what XB360 sold when all is said and done.
