yes, it will work in some area, but if you are looking at this as somekind of global movement (which I'm not saying you are, but some people have implied it), then it's a bad mistake.

I was getting around 5kb/s download speed via Rogers for over 40 bucks a month, and Yes, I do live in a first world country in one of the biggest city in the world. the basic infrustrature for highspeed download is just not there, not even in a more advanced country, and it might not even be there in 10-20 years.

renting only for HD movie is simply a joke, Why is there no "buy" option?

Yes I agree with you, though I think 5-10 years may be more accurate. I really don't get why I can't buy the HD movies. One of the main reasons I like it is I can convert any format into mp4 and store movies on a hard-drive and easily watch them on my TV.

Only down side is Apple TV only supports up to 1280 X 720, But that doesn't really bother me that much.
