I guess but the intention felt pretty obvious. It's the same reason you brought up Capcom first thing when I didn't even mention them. It's a jump in logic to think I meant that company when I meant digital only games in general on Switch (specifically ones where the baggage is *only* being digital). It's also similar to why you brought up "hate". Because in a lot of people's mind if you hate something (which I don't even hate Hellblade), you automatically can't make a valid point about it . It's basically making a point without outright stating an argument.

Either way I just find it funny.

If I wanted to make an argument, I would just get to the point.

For example, you consider it hypocrisy when nobody in this thread outright complains about Hellblade being digital-only, so you make that generalized opening post. But you are missing two important factors to call out hypocrisy. For one, you'd need people to say that it is good that the game is digital-only, and two, you'd need those people to be the same ones that have complained about digital-only releases in the past.

When you talk about a group as big as Switch fans, it's pretty easy to find contradictory statements. However, the key is that you have to be able to isolate individuals who are contradicting themselves. If you can't do that, you are just becoming one of those annoying people who like to point with their finger. You can do this the right way like you did in the Global Hardware Sales thread from last week, so stick to that.

Not really. If it was a very specific argument being called hypocritical, maybe. However, all you have to do is see every other thread about big games that are third parties on Switch and you will see it. I mean, for all intents and purposes I'm only talking about the community around Switch on this site, which is big for here but pretty small in the grand scheme of things.

Also it doesn't need to be praising something to be hypocritical. That's just silly. It can be not complaining or complaining to a significantly lesser degree, thus being inconsistent with standards. The opposite of complaining doesn't have to be praising, it can also just be not complaining.
