Paradox Interactive has bought White Wolf in the meanwhile, and their games almost always are very easy to mod and get full mod support from the devs.
The political correctness comes from some severe blunders from White Wolf in the last years, where Paradox took direct control as a result of them.
And yeah, Bloodlines was so flawed that I didn't like it at first. At. all. But I warmed up to it later on. Still prefer playing Redemption to Bloodlines, though.
