While I do not think this website should solely be restricted to discussion surrounding video games, discussion surrounding politics on this sort of forum typically only leads to circular arguments that do not go anywhere.
There are plenty of other forum topics that would still be applicable should politics be cast aside. Such as: Music, movies, tv, pop culture etc.
This should be a platform for entertainment.
That being said, discussions based on video game politics, such as censorship and video games being used as scapegoats should still be permitted. As it is still relevant to the topic as a whole. There is no need for the 1 millionth Trump and/or religious debate.
