As someone who over the course of my time here has dedicated very little time to posting in political discussions or creating threads I'd agree that dedicated threads are the way to go. An official trump thread, an official elections thread covering all nations etc etc.
As someone who can debate politics peacefully without resorting to unpleasantries I welcome improvements in this area. Maybe I'll start posting more on the topic if improvements are made.
