There is a problem with this article. He seems to assume the numbers are the be all and end all, but for newer games like Boom Blox there will be lower numbers because people will still be playing them.
The Nintendo channel stats he speaks of are more dynamic, they are updated (either on a time basis or it could be whenever each user visits the Nintendo Channel)

I cannot see any stats at the moment because they haven't added them to the Europe channel yet.
