April-June & July-Sept are pretty neck and neck for Japan & Europe while Oct-Dec is significantly higher in Europe so maybe now that the holidays are over they are back to selling a similar amount.

So holiday boost was the primary reason why European > Japan in Q3. Does Switch number in Europe this year increase over the last year number in a similar timeframe based on Vgchartz data?

According to this site it did 51k in this week last year vs 58k this year so up a little. I would say it's probably a bit undertracked based on how much higher US/Japan are according to NPD/Media Create.
