A price cut sometime in Q2 or Q3 makes sense to me but I highly doubt it will be to $199, there really isnt any precedent for such a drastic price cut this late in a consoles life especially since PS4 is still selling very well. I think $249 is far more realistic and they will continue to save $199 bundles for Black Friday week and maybe the week before Christmas. |
Yep, it makes sense. In the end PS4 is still selling quiet good, and twice as much as Switch in Europe, which is the biggest Territory and the most important for Sony.
$249 might be a good intermediate step before the final $199. The main target is shifting towards PS5, and Sony should only care about enlarging even more the Playstation ecosystem and be profitable as much as possible.
