Skyrim. After reaching the 200h and having pretty much finished every feasible quest available, it gives you a strange mixed feeling of closure and emptiness. You have pretty much solved every problem you could solve in Skyrim, but you want to keep going...

Ugh - you know, I started Skyrim on the Switch about a year ago and made it past the first dragon...     ...and then, that was it - I just couldn't get into the game!! I don't know why that is, as I've heard nothing but great things about the game (and the series in general)!! I guess I'm just not all that into true RPG games (I can enjoy Pokemon which is RPGish - but not a "real" RPG like Skyrim). I know back in my C64 days (yeah, I'm old!!) I used to LOVE The Bard's Tale series and all of the AD&D games - but I have yet to find an modern RPG game that I like...

Didn't think you actually play games Talon. Thought collecting and coding is all you do. ;P

I always try to play, whenever I can - but my gaming typically comes in binges, unfortunately. I'll find some free time and then plow through a game like Tomb Raider (playing it for 6-8hrs a day, every day for a week!!!)...    ...and then find myself not playing another game for weeks at a time, because I'm too damn busy. Which, in a sense, is one of the reasons for starting this very thread!! I'm hoping to identify my next game, so that when I do manage scrape up some more gaming time for myself, I'll already know exactly which game to pull from my shelf!!

Persona 5, Skyward Sword, Xenoblade Chronicles, Breath of the Wild, Twilight Princess,

I've seen that Persona series mentioned in this thread a couple of times, already - and I'm surprised to see that I don't actually have any of them on my shelf at the moment!!!

Would you say Persona 5 is the best in the series? Would somebody new to the series be able to jump right into the 5th installment? Or, would they be better served by starting from the beginning?

I can't answer the first question honestly, since Persona 5 is the first, and only, game of the series I have played. With that said, I can answer the 2nd question with a whole-hearted YES!!!
