Seems that lets go still hold the place of the most alive pokemon world yet. After it, is difficult to go back not having pokemon everywhere in the grasses.

I can understand the limitation, too many pokemon to animate, much higher field of view due to different camera angles. To work, pokemon should be there too, visible from far. but could compromise the surprise of a new pokemon (in lets go the field of view, the pokemon are always close to you), and lots and lots of them would appear on screen from some angles.

They didnt show any pokemon to mount/ride. After the improvements in this area, from XY where you briefly mount a gogoat, then lait@s flying on ORAS, from pokerider in sun moon and lots of mounting pokemon in lets go, i think at this point it was already stablished a incorporated feature of pokemon. I hope they implement it in some way.
I think the best option would be a mix between lets go and pokerider. You use your pokemon to ride, but not necessary in the party. You should have a mount box, with 6 spots for mounting and you could associate you pokemon that fill the specific roles. ex: first on party must be a 4 legs pokemon with horns (then you could associate taurus gogoat, stantler, terakion...), the second a bulky flying pokemon (charizard, dragonite, lugia, hooh), 3rd a water pokemon you can surf (lapras, gyarados, etc). etc. Note that they could make it to not have more than 10 in each spot. But also, the game would have places to catch at least one of them.

The rest is what I expected and wanted. In pokemon you are the trainer, you command the pokemon, is an strategy game, not an action, and it must not change. open world is hard to imagine working on pokemon due to level system.
