I never said that they aren't making them. I was implying that the failure of another high profile 1st party game might dampen their efforts and enthusiasm in making many more of them. You should read what I write and not what you want to read. As for my impressions and the vast majority of critics, it turned out to be right. The game was early announced and rarely talked about, the first preview we got looked like a 360 game without any life and that whole thing with the cloud was complete bullshit from the start anyway. So yes, my and many people's first impression was completely justified. In my opinion the game should get a default 5 point deduction for that whole cloud bullshit, where MS was actively lying to consumers. So anything above 5 is a reward for this game. Also, unless a review is is talking untruths it cannot be wrong. |
That's uhm... dumb.
I agree what became of the MP was ultimately a far cry from the original plan, games shouldn't be advertised like that, although what's there is still unique and kinda fun. Personally I'm more critical of how shallow the MP actually is as opposed to the tech. It really feels just thrown together, just two modes, no unlocks, no career stats, etc.
If you're going into Crackdown 3 for the campaign, its fun. Games that are this polished and offer tight gameplay generally don't score 5/10, but Crackdown 3 is a unique case I guess. If the critics feel its only worth a 5/10, whatever. But I'm opposed to taking points away for what its not, a game should be reviewed for what it is.
