I tried the demo and only got through one mission. To be honest, I could see the actual game being good, but it's an awful demo. And honestly, modern demos in general are kind of shit.

They always start at like the beginning of the game. You know, the part that's easily the most boring in almost every game? And if it's a sequel to a game, they skip out on the cutscenes that continue the story.

Why even start with a tutorial mission. What is so hard about dropping someone into a cool part of a game, lowering the amount of damage enemies give you, and then giving basic tutorial prompts?

Controls feel a little bit odd but they can be mapped however you want. What's more important though is the way the characters control. They need to be way more responsive. Nothing feels satisfying. I also thought this game would be way more based on horizontal movements, but it's basically like trying to shoot enemies while manually controlling the elevation of a hot air balloon. It's actually kind of a cool concept, but it still needs to have way more mid-air vertical control. The boost does not make up for the floaty feeling.

Also the HUD is just bad. Bad. 

I'm starting to get worried that this game will not have a lot of locales and will be overall boring.
