Come on, you can't get more old school than Tetris, and Tetris effect sits at 89.
Doom 2016 sits at 85-87.
Nex Machina 88.
Cuphead 88.

Old school doesn't have to be 8-16 bit and still gets reviewed well when done right.

None of those games, save for Tetris, are "old school" in any sense I can think of.
