Unopened beer cans are usually safe, but for some reason the bear took both boxes out of the hole I dug (keeps them so cold) and crushed a few of them. It's annoying because now I have to find a way to bear proof my fridge. A fridge which is about 3 inches from my tent.

As for the chasing. That's just sort of what you have to do. For a couple days there were about 3 bears that kept coming in to camp. So we'd just chase them away. It's pretty funny when you're in your sleeping bag, you hear someone shout BEAR!!! and you just groan and roll over. It turns out black bears are pretty much just big raccoons.

I haven't read this part, but looks like the wild life made you some kind of fearless man...
