Same reason first Transformers movie had relatively low screen time for actual transformers. However, in the end, it was a good Godzilla movie IMO. |
But, that's not how Godzilla movies work. The first one was more like that, but when it was his time to shine, they still focused on him. Godzilla '14 commited the sin of cockteasing fights 3 times, just to cut from the action as it began, to focus on the humans. Once would have been fine. The other times we should have seen more of the battle, even if it was only for 1-2 mins. It wouldn't have felt like you were cheated.
