If you read the rest of my post you'll see what I mean. I was also specifically talking about ports in the context of this year and the ways in which some of these titles wouldn't necessarily fit. We've had one Mario port this year; Mario Maker had a unique version for 3DS so I'd expect that Switch gets a unique version too; Pikmin 3 is more likely to get a sequel given Miyamoto's comments about a fourth game; Monolith Soft have already ruled out Xenoblade Chronicles X.

Yes, porting Wii U games in general has been good business - but that doesn't mean every major Wii U title will get ported and it doesn't mean every Wii U title makes sense in any given moment of the release schedule.

Monolith Soft ruled out a port made by them... Xenoblade Chronicles 3D for New3DS was ported by Monster Games if I'm correct, why couldn't be the same with Xenoblade Chronicles X?

It doesn't matter who ports it - it's the size and scale of the challenge which makes it unlikely. Thats what Tetsuya Takahashi said. You acknowledged it yourself: a port needs to make sense in terms of resources expended. Monster Games also don't work with Nintendo any more. And, with Wii U titles ported to Switch by Nintendo, the trend seems to be that the original team are involved. EPD did Kart 8 DX and worked with NST on Captain Toad, for example, while Retro Studios handled Tropical Freeze and Team Ninja/Omega handled Hyrule Warriors. Bandai Namco handled Pokken Tournament DX. The clear pattern on Switch is for the original studio to at least co-develop the port or handle it themselves entirely. Monolith Soft seem to be working on two original projects already, too.

I can understand why people want Chronicles X, but there's clear evidence that isn't happening yet.
