Chazore said: I ain't "kidding" myself mate. We're talking about the store here, not one game. Where's all those features Steam has, where's the user reviews and mod support at?. Where are the user galleries and built in forums?. Where is my multi gamepad and config support at?. Don't give me that crappy "give it time" excuse, they've been at this for well over 4 years now and they've continued saying "we'll try harder", but they hardly ever do. "one of the best racing games", yeah, in your opinion, not a fact (unless you want to act Like Colteastwood). It's zero incentive for me to use their storefront, because it doesn't have the games I want, it doesn't have the features I want and it doesn't support modding that I want. One game isn't proof that it's vastly improving. Your entire argument has been based around one game and not the storefront, not the missing features and consumer practices.
"as a Steam supporter for 14 years", get off that rocker mate. Get off with that fake speech. Valve make games, games you clearly don't like, so you best be getting used to that. |
You are kidding yourself, you clearly state Win10 hasn't improved, and I pointed out it has with a racing game that runs flawlessly. If MS continue to bring games to Win10 that run as good as FH4 than improvement is none debatable. Its not rocket science that the store front is going to improve over time. You seem to think it wont for some odd reason because the programmers behind it don't realize the criticism etc.
Yes I am a 14 year Steam user, how long you been using Steam may I ask?
I have my experience with Steam and its still my go to Store however with the lack of quality control on Steam and the lack of actual games from Valve, I am starting to see it as just another store which offers a mirror library to just about everything else with the exception of trashy green lit games that flood the store front.
Also I am not into mod support or the features you mention above, I just use Steam to play my PC games, and if they don't offer me the content than ill start losing interests. Atleast with Win10 and Epic Store they are adding content that you cannot get anywhere else by either 1st party studios or timed exclusives. I don't want to use Epic Store over Steam but when I hear news like this, I ask myself, why the hell doesn't Gabe get in and start locking in content to compete. But clearly we want different things here.
Its a different time, Steam has upcoming competition, something they haven't had for many years.
