I don't need them to follow RE lore. In fact, I would prefer it if they just completely rebooted the storyline. I don't want references to the games or the movies. The one thing I could never understand about the movies is how Umbrella was able to get such devotion out of their employees. The world goes to hell but the employees have no lives and just keep working for Umbrella. Such devotion was just ridiculous. So I hope the show stays away from that.
