But the Wii U had good games too.

The WiiU was mismarketed to the point where there are still people that did not even know it was a console.  I know someone who has a brand new one in his closet because he got it as a gift and thought it was an add on to the WiiU.  It was not till about 6 months ago when he told me that the Switch was the successor to the Wii and I corrected him did he realize what it was.

 

He was absolutely dumbfounded to say the least lol.

 

OT The Switch is selling so well due to a combination of great games that you can not play anywhere else and the convenient form factor that it has to play those games, as well as the 3rd party console games that get ported to the system.  It is great for gamers with limited time that want console experiences on the go.
