0D0 said: A fairer comparison when we consider Nov + Dec. Nintendo has more releases in Dec while PS has more in Nov. Nov + Dec 2017 PS4 - 3,619 + 3,987 = 7,606 NSW - 1,658 + 4,348 = 6,006 Nov + Dec 2018 (3 weeks) PS4 - 3,745 + 2,252 = 5,997 NSW - 3,269 + 4,366 = 7,635 Source: VGC Hardware Year-Over-Year Comparison |
Switch improved a lot in November compared to last year. That could mean two things: You can expect a similar growth in December, or you can think that November stole a % of sales from December.
In the end Switch should do NOV+DEC combined more than 8M in those months, more than a 33% growth YOY. Switch left the best for the end. If the console have had best first half of the year, Switch would probaly reached that 20M FY goal without problems...
Edit: Is that number for PS4 18 right??, did not PS4 had worse November this year than last year?
