They're part of your identity but they are not a defining part of who you are and what you do. Who you are doesn't matter, it's about what you do and sexuality is nothing worthy of note in the grander scheme of your personality.
It's always about what you do and not who you do. If someone thinks his sexuality makes him special to a point where he elevates it as an integral part of the person he is then that person is doing humaning wrong. Same goes for gender, heritage and all the other nonsense people have no control over.
If you are a rare case of an openly gay rapper in a country that doesn't approve of that they it most certainly does define you. We're not talking an openly gay rapper in Ireland or a country like that.
