That little mole is part of your identity yes. Sexuality is one of many things that defines you. Don't even try to downplay that. 

They're part of your identity but they are not a defining part of who you are and what you do. Who you are doesn't matter, it's about what you do and sexuality is nothing worthy of note in the grander scheme of your personality.

It's always about what you do and not who you do. If someone thinks his sexuality makes him special to a point where he elevates it as an integral part of the person he is then that person is doing humaning wrong. Same goes for gender, heritage and all the other nonsense people have no control over.
