Having a high bar for itself doesn't make the conversation not applicable.

Nintendo haven't dominated USA since SNES. PS1, PS2, X360 and PS4 (with X1 really close) have won USA.

I haven't dragged sales outside Japan as I didn't put any numbers. I just said that the fact that only Sony itself would be able to come close to their top rankers don't make we stop comparing PS4 to its top rankers ever since day 1. So not sure why that would be a problem to compare Switch to Nintendo top rank ranking in Japan.

WW for sure

WW

WW. Fair enough. I just thought you were talking about Japan, given the nature of the thread.

Nahhh I don't think any Playstation console will get anywhere near to top their previous numbers in Japan.

Wii sold most in US last gen, around 50m in US alone. Switch could easily sell more than PS4 and espacily more than XB1 in US.

Gues you could use this site to check your numbers.

Wii sold 45.5M on North America, so USA only probably less than 40M. X360 sold 49.11 so around 45M. How did Wii sold most in US last gen?

Switch sure could sell more than PS4, but easily? Aren't you reaching a little?

I'll reiterate. Last 4 gens Nintendo never dominated USA market. It was PS1, PS2, X360 and now PS4 (with X1 really close).
